The Future of Noise Cancellation

Product Launch

The Future of Noise Cancellation — detail 1

The Future of Noise Cancellation — detail 2

A press preview for Sony's WH-1000XM4 noise-canceling headphones, planned as a live event and rebuilt as a kit for the home when COVID hit. Sam Cannon and Noah Rabinowitz led the idea and strategy, Jenn Whitney led the design, Chris Schuett produced, Kyle Chayka wrote the essays, and John J. Custer made the illustrations. Our part was the technology: the lightbox listens to the room and turns changes in noise into calm light. Over 60 percent of recipients published about it.
