Studio Studio makes work for galleries, festivals, retail, brand pop-ups, and public space. We build installations, websites, apps, and sometimes lamps that run other apps for our own projects or for brands, agencies, and cultural institutions. Same tools, same care, sometimes from concept to making the actual sausage.

Pablo Gnecco started the studio in 2015 as an inaugural member of NEW INC, the New Museum's incubator. The idea from day one: the commercial work funds the art, and the art sharpens the commercial work. We can run the whole production with a crew we trust (fabricators, lighting designers, developers, producers), or slot in next to an agency's team, a fabrication shop, or an install crew that's already on the job.

Our own artworks and exhibitions, commissions for institutions and private clients, and installations, brand activations, and interactive spaces for brands and agencies. We can handle the concept, creative direction, software, lighting, fabrication, and install, or just the part you need. Recent clients include HBO, Google, AT&T, Dolby, and Michigan Central Station.

Both. Agencies bring us in as their creative technology and production team, and galleries, festivals, and cultural institutions commission work from us. We can lead the whole project or work inside a bigger team, next to fabricators, install crews, and other studios.

Most projects start with a call about the idea. Then comes concept and design, a working prototype, fabrication, and install. Some jobs are a single piece built in a few weeks, others run for months, and the team grows or shrinks to match.

Lighting and LED systems (DMX/sACN, pixel mapping, show control). Real-time software in TouchDesigner, Three.js, React Three Fiber, openFrameworks, and Unity. Sensors, computer vision, projection, media servers, and audio playback. We also build websites and web apps in Next.js and React, native and mobile apps, kiosks and touch interfaces, firmware for custom hardware, and the backend and streaming systems behind them.

New York, London, and Bogotá. The main studio is in New York, and collaborators work out of all three cities. We travel to install and run work wherever it is.
